iPhone is the most common traveler device, but UnblockMeVPN's iPhone app is not approved on the App Store yet. This page explains the current status and what to do instead before a trip.
The iPhone app is still pending App Store approval. That means travelers should not plan around a same-day App Store install path yet.
The practical answer right now is to set up your Android, Windows, and macOS devices before you leave, and treat iPhone support as coming soon rather than available today.
If you only brought an iPhone and expected to install on arrival, you are dependent on App Store approval landing before your trip. Do not treat that as reliable yet.
If you also brought an Android phone, Windows laptop, or Mac, use that device as your VPN-capable device for the trip.
If your iPhone is your main device, bring a supported backup device anyway. A Windows laptop, Mac, or Android phone can run the VPN while the iPhone uses local apps that work natively, such as Apple Maps, iMessage, WeChat, Alipay, and Didi.
If you use your iPhone as a personal hotspot, connect the Windows, macOS, or Android device to that hotspot and run UnblockMeVPN on the supported device. That protects traffic from the supported device; it does not turn the iPhone itself into a VPN-protected router for iPhone apps.
Once the iPhone app is approved, this page should become the full installation guide. Until then, the copy should stay factual: iPhone support is pending and App Store install is not the current live path.
Use Android, Windows, or macOS today. iPhone App Store approval is still pending, so do not rely on iPhone-only setup for this trip.
